About The City Brief Horsham
Your Personal Newsletter For All Local Events in Horsham
The City Brief keeps Horsham residents and those interested in the town up to date with local happenings each week. Whether you live in Town Centre, Causeway, Denne Road, North Horsham, or further afield, there’s always something to discover across the town and its surroundings. We cover the local calendar, from established events like Horsham Market and Carfax Market, which bring people together weekly with fresh produce and crafts, to seasonal highlights such as the Horsham Festival and Horsham Garden Music Festival. Throughout the year, you'll find details of everything from cricket matches hosted by Horsham Cricket Club to the annual Piazza Italia celebration, which showcases Italian culture and food. Our weekly updates ensure you don’t miss what’s on. We track regular events, one-off occasions, exhibitions, community gatherings, and entertainment across neighbourhoods and landmarks like the Horsham Museum and Art Gallery. Whether it's a film screening at the Horsham Film Festival, a visit to a market stall, or an event in a local park, we help you stay connected to the community. Horsham is a historic market town, and that heritage continues through events and gatherings. The City Brief exists to keep you informed about what’s happening in your neighbourhood and around town, so you can plan your week, support local businesses and performers, and engage with the area. We believe local events matter. They're where communities come together, where character is built, and where neighbours connect. Our aim is to ensure you’re always in the loop about what’s on in Horsham.

About the editor
The City Brief Horsham is edited by Dean Withey, founder of The City Brief. A former RAF pilot turned founder and investor, Dean has built and sold two technology companies, including ubisend, a conversational AI platform used by the NHS and BAE Systems, and has shipped more than thirty enterprise AI systems over twenty years in tech. He is based in Norwich, England.
Why this site exists, in Dean's words: "In an AI-powered world, you can no longer trust what you see and hear online. The future is local: trusting only what you can see for yourself. The City Brief is the trusted brief for what's happening in your city."
Listings are gathered from venue websites, official box offices and event platforms, then checked and curated before publishing. AI tools assist with drafting; every published page follows our editorial policy.
